In the immortal words of Ross Geller, Ph.D: We were on a break! Thankfully, ours wasn’t precipitated by the suffocating jealousy of a lovesick paleontologist…and, yes, we probably should stop watching certain shows on an endless Netflix loop. In any event, regular RONTHINK blog updates will resume prior to Halloween. Here’s a peek at some of the projects we’re working on.
START WITH A DOUBLE-SCOOP OF DOOMOCRACY!
With midterm elections only a month away and inmates still running the proverbial asylum, expect an uptick in political content. Don’t worry, it won’t feel like civics class. Up first: two new installments of Doomocracy! Each post in this special series is anchored by a central image gallery. It’s a more visual approach to op-ed subject matter with original graphic elements designed to be shared and re-posted.
Here’s a teaser image created for the Halloween-themed edition along with one of the actual gallery images that will appear in the follow-up. That’s where we’ll continue the discussion about activism and direct engagement with elected officials. The focus this time will be on impolite heroes and, as seen below, the kind of issues that can’t be solved without loud and proud opposition.
NEW FALL SHOWS, RETURNING FAVORITES AND GUILTY PLEASURES
We’ll review selected new Fall series, including God Friended Me, The Neighborhood, Murphy Brown and Last Man Standing. We’ll also check in with season two of the Will and Grace revival and proudly bestow guilty pleasure status on the Dynasty re-boot just in time for the second season premiere.
HALLOWEEN TRICKS, TASTY TREATS AND OVERDUE DINOS
It’s October, so of course you can expect some scary stuff. Look for a new edition of Terror In Black and White with a focus on massive monster mayhem (including some big-ass ants) and our picks for the best thrillers with a sense of humor (of course Bud and Lou are in the mix). Finally, we’ll drop the long-delayed conclusion to the Dino-Snores two parter. No peeks at that one. It will be a surprise.
