THE PRECAP: While rival Marvel continues to break box office records, DC Comics has enjoyed the majority of its off-page success on the small screen. That track record continues with KRYPTON, a fresh addition to the Superman canon and one of SyFy’s strongest originals in recent memory.
THE PRECAP: Yes, it’s another re-boot no one asked for. Yes, Seacrest is as inconsequential as ever. Yes, Katy Perry is the most expensive seat-filler in recorded history. This dust-off of AMERICAN IDOL is wildly premature, totally unnecessary…and I fell for every glossy, manipulative minute. Damn you, ABC!
THE PRECAP: After launching successful re-boots of former broadcast network hits, Netflix mined the cable archives for it’s latest dust off. While it makes sense to go with a familiar property, the new QUEER EYE does little to distinguish itself. It’s pointless “cut, copy, paste” that ultimately rings hollow.
THE PRECAP: If CBS was looking for a comedy more contrived than 9JKL and less funny than SUPERIOR DONUTS, they hit paydirt with LIVING BIBLICALLY. A talented cast is wasted on a clunky premise and inferior writing.
